great location. within walking distance of the core of old montreal and Place D'Armes metro stop. easy to take the metro and get around montreal. although old montreal is very touristy. would recommend buying the museum/metro pass (concerige can supply). that takes you to parts of montreal you wouldn't have known to go. the staff was very friendly and helpful, for the most part... the first room we stayed in was good, not as quite as nice as the photos. it had a big beam in between the room and bathroom. bathroom was luxurious. but i noticed a consistent wet area outside the bathroom. housekeeping came and apparently fixed it while i was gone. next day, still soaking wet. i got tired of stepping on the soaking carpet. had to call again. mainteance came again. discovered the source was a leak from upstairs. nevertheless i asked for a change of room. disappointed that they didn't offer until i asked. good thing is we got a better room. bigger and wonderful tall windows. my hubby would sit in front of the windows for a long time. bathroom was smaller, but still nice. wireless internet worked well. breakfast was alright. wish it was fancier and better fruits. enjoyed the bread and bagels. good enough to start the day. didn't have a problem with the bar noise. when checking-in, the front desk didn't think twice about putting us in the side of the hotel away from the bar. friendly staff and helpful conceirge. would definitely stay again. great and romantic boutique hotel.

I loved Place D'Armes. the staff were very friendly, approachable and helpful, and all were fluently bilingual. The rooms were very nice and very clean. I will be staying there again when I go back to Montreal!

Second time we have vacationed in Montreal. Room was beautiful, comfortable. Convenient to metro and other downrown sites. Congierge was helpful. I prefer a funkier space but for persons wanting luxury, a fantastic free breakfast this is your hotel.

I loved the location of this hotel, right near Old Montreal. Our room was beautiful, hardwood floors, huge windows. Our room happened to be a corner one and when you opened the curtains, there was Notre Dame. Everything inside the room was tastefully decorated. The hotel had a wine and cheese reception each night we stayed there which was very nice. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I would definitley stay there again.

I liked the location, it was walking distance from the Place D'Armes metro stop, and it was in the heart of Old Montreal. However there's a bar in the hotel, and it got pretty noisy and crowded at night, and the music was blaring out which isn't the best thing if you're staying at the hotel and trying to get some sleep.
