I traveled a lot but this was the first time staying at an Omni hotel. I am sold! Very spacious, clean room. Check-in personnel were friendly and helpful. Being in downtown, the parking rate is reasonable. The gym was fabulous. Dates of visit: 5/3-4/2010

Utilized this hotel for four days when in Montreal on business with my spouse. The room and bathroom were spacious, but the cleanliness left something to be desired. There was significant mildew on the air vent IN THE SHOWER right above the shower head. On the plus side, we belong to the Omni frequent guest program and received the newspaper and one hot and one cold beverage (per person) free each morning. It was always delivered at the requested time and the coffee/hot chocolate was always hot. We found it strange however, that the room service menu listed more (and better) food options than the restaurnat menu. We opted to eat in the room the last evening because our preferred entrees were not offered in the restaurant. We thought the food and drinks in the lounge were overpriced even for a downtown hotel. We did not use the concierge servce or the fitness center, but the valet service was lacking. Each morning I called ahead 15-20 minutes before we left the room and the car was not there waiting for us any of the four mornings. The best part about the Omni is the location. You can't go wrong - as it is convenient to walk to shops on St. Catherine's, restaurants/bars on Crescent and plenty of museums and tourist attractions. The surrounding area is safe enough to walk the streets at night without worry. We would stay again if the price was right, but it did not "WOW" us like we thought it would.

This hotel is perfectly located close to everything, and is much more glamerous than I expected. From the doorman who was an absolute gentleman who treated travelers with a kind word and a sincere smile, to the folks at the front desh, concierge and bell boys - you feel good even before you make it to your room. And the room was WAY larger than we expected it to be. The wife and I weren't even close to being on top of each other. It was clean and didn't have that "hotel smell" that you find in some places. Again, it was muc better than I expected it to be. You can use either Valet or self parking with is across the street adjacent from the hotel. Self parking is $* a day, but you are only allowed to leave 2x a day before you have to pay for it again. Valet was $* per day. I used the valet, and they were prompt and courteous whenever we needed our car. There are plenty of restaurants and stores around the area, and you are very close to the Metro. The hotel is in the heart of McGill University, which is the 3rd oldest university in North America. If you get the chance, walk or drive the campus. The architecture of the buildings are fantastic. Yes, yes, double times yes I would stay at this hotel again, & again!
